Tatenda Taibu was Zimbabwe’s wicket-keeper batsman. Given his small stature, he was extremely agile and quick on his toes. Taibu made his international debut in 2001 at the age of 18. Within two years of his international debut, he was appointed the vice-captain of the national side. Finally, he was appointed the captain of the national side in 2004, making him the youngest Test captain in history.

Taibu was a great batsman who was not afraid of taking the attack to the opposition. He became the 5th Zimbabwean to score 3000 runs when his team took on Kenya during the ICC Cricket World Cup 2011.
Unfortunately, on 10 July 2012, he decided to retire at the young age of 29 so that he could focus on his life way from cricket. He scored 1,546 runs in Tests and scored 3,393 runs in ODIs. He finished his career as Zimbabwe's fourth-highest run-scorer in ODIs with the second most number for dismissals as a wicket-keeper.

Sunil Joseph
Sunil is a pro wrestling journalist, covering AEW and WWE news stories at Sportskeeda. He holds an MBA degree in Marketing, and has nearly 7 years of experience. A wrestling aficionado since childhood, Sunil used to imitate his favorite wrestlers as a young kid, and started writing professionally about the sport via Sportskeeda’s revenue-sharing opportunity.
Sunil admires former world champions AJ Styles, Will Ospreay, and Kenny Omega for their ability to consistently deliver great matches as well as entertain crowds with their mic skills.
If ever given a chance to change a storyline, Sunil would have booked Roman Reigns to end The Undertaker’s WrestleMania streak instead of Brock Lesnar. According to him, The Tribal Chief needed the victory more than Brock Lesnar, as the latter was already an established performer when he defeated ‘Taker. He would’ve also made that as Taker’s final match.
Always focused on making his work accurate and reliable, Sunil thoroughly checks his facts before writing his articles. When not writing for pro wrestling, he spends his time watching cricket.
