The former Indian fast bowler often displayed his batting expertise and he stunned everyone when he scored a magnificent Test hundred at Lord’s against England.

Agarkar, however, holds a special record with the bat. He scored a fifty off 21 balls against Zimbabwe in 2000 in an ODI in Rajkot and owns the record for scoring the fastest fifty by an Indian in ODIs till date. With a blistering strike rate of 268, Agarkar scored 67 off just 25 balls that day and struck seven fours and four massive sixes to propel India’s score to 301.

He surely was no mug with the bat!
