#2. Pandya brothers became second sibling pair to represent India in T20Is

In the year 2007, the inaugural edition of T20 World Cup tournament was held in South Africa. The squad for this world cup featured two brothers in Irfan Pathan and Yusuf Pathan. They became the first pair of brothers to represent India in T20Is.

Hardik Pandya's injury earlier this year has meant that there is a vacant spot, one that could be filled by an all-rounder in the limited overs side. The selectors showed faith in Krunal Pandya considering his performances for India A.

As a result, elder brother Krunal was named in the T20 squad for 3-match series against Windies. He got his debut cap straightaway from skipper Rohit and hence joined the list of Pathan brothers to become second sibling pair to play for India. Interestingly both pairs are from Baroda.
