5 West Indies players to watch out for in the Test matches vs India

#1 Jason Holder

The West Indies captain Jason Holder will play a crucial role this series for West Indies not only with the ball but also with the bat. This will be his first test series in India. He and Kemar Roach will look to break through the strong Indian top order with the new ball. The tall and lanky 6'7 bowler will try to extract some bounce if there is any bounce on offer.

Holder in the last two years has been in good form both with the bat and ball. He has scored 805 runs in the last couple of years at an average of 33.5 and has scored a century too in that period. He picked up 59 wickets in the last 24 months at an average of 22.37 which includes 4 fifers.

He has played 3 matches in Asia prior to this series and has done reasonably well in those 3 matches. He has a batting average of 41 in Asia and has picked up 9 wickets in 3 matches that he played in Asia. Holder will mostly bat down the order especially with the tail. The number of runs that he can score with the tail will be crucial. We saw how crucial were the runs scored by lower order was in India's tour of England.

It will be interesting to see how he goes on with his captaincy because he will be leading his side for the first time in the test matches in India. Holder will be hoping to have a good outing.
