George Bailey is the former Australian skipper who has captained the Kings XI Punjab in Indian Premier League but the unknown fact to several IPL fans that he made his IPL debut with the Chennai Super Kings.
In the 2009 IPL Auction, Bailey was picked up by CSK for INR 24.5 lakh. The former Australian skipper was a member of the Super Kings squad between 2009 and 2012. But he got only 3 matches during his stint in yellow.
Bailey played just two matches and scored 42 runs at a strike-rate of 115.28 in the 2009 season. He played just one match in the title-winning 2010 season and scored 17 runs. After warming the bench in the next two seasons, he eventually moved on to KXIP and then Rising Pune Supergiant.
