Back in 1997, former Australian opener Justin Langer, representing Western Australia, scored 84 off just 18 balls. Although the fact that he was competing against some world class Limited Overs Internationals’ players was one of the reasons why he played only 8 ODIs as compared to his 105 Tests in his career, he wasn’t exactly a power hitter, too.
This format, though, with shorter boundaries and 6s being taken as 8s made it easy for the Australian stalwart.
