Video: Adam Gilchrist speaks on invincible Australian team and John Buchanan's boot camp

Australia's ­legendary wicketkeeper-batsman Adam Gilchrist, at the gala dinner in the Nursery Pavilion, spoke about the invincible Australian team, which he was a part of and what made them so extraordinary.

He recollected former coach John Buchanan’s team building trip to an SAS-style boot camp and joked about Shane Warne’s sacrifices during the stay at the mountains. Gilchrist also said how he was privileged to play alongside great cricketers like Glenn McGrath, Ricky Ponting, the Waugh brothers, Matthew Hayden, etc., in the same era.

The dinner was hosted before the MCC v Rest of the World match, which was played on 5 July.
