Ravi Shastri might get an extension till November 2020: Reports
Ravi Shastri and the other support staff might get an extension until November 2020. Their contracts terminate at the end of the World Cup later this year. The Committee of Administrators (CoA) and Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) CEO Rahul Johri are scheduled to meet today (18th March).
The meeting is slated to take place in Mumbai and the CoA have put down a list of issues related to Indian cricket. However, the main discussion will be around the contracts of the head coach and all the other support staff.
Under Ravi Shastri, India have done well over the last couple of years. Hence, he and his team could get an extension until the end of the T20 World Cup in 2020. Apart from Shastri, the staff mainly includes batting coach Sanjay Bangar, bowling coach Bharat Arun and fielding coach R Sridhar. Most of the coaching staff also enjoy the backing of the captain and the team. Hence, the extension seems likely.
