India have never won a series in South Africa but the Indian skipper has been phenomenal in South African conditions as well. Kohli toured the rainbow nation as a youngster in 2013 and has played eleven one-day internationals in South Africa in total, scoring 319 runs at an average of 45.57.

Things have changed though, and Virat has returned to South Africa as the Indian captain. He has scored 463 runs in eight Test innings with an average of 59.51 and a highest score of 153 which he made recently.
