Armed Police Force (APF) won the Nepal National Women’s Cricket Championship defeating Region No-5 Nepalgunj by 114 runs in the final of the championship.
Batting first, APF posted 187 runs for the fall of 8 wickets. Sita Rana scored 58 runs for the APF while Anu took 3 wickets for the Nepalgunj team. Chasing the target of 188 runs, Nepalgunj only managed to score 73 runs. Ritu Kanaujia took 4 wickets for 18 runs for APF.
Region-5 Nepalgunj skipper Nary Thapa was named Player of the Tournament and also named Best Bats-woman for her 247 runs & 12 wickets in 6 matches.
Meanwhile, Region-5 Nepalgunj’s Trishna Singh was named Best Bowler of the Championship for her 11 wicket in 4 matches as APF’s Jyoti Pandey was named Emerging Player of the Championship.
A total of 8 teams participated in the Championship.
