Tim Paine very nearly became the only Australian skipper to win/draw an Ashes series in England since 2001 but Ben Stokes' masterclass brought England back into the series with an astonishing victory at Headingly.

The third Test between the two age-long rivals had its share of drama as the visitors very nearly won the match but at the end had to endure the trauma of witnessing a sure-shot victory slip out of their hands.

While Ben Stokes and company were truly unbelievable in that chase but there were some objectionable decisions by Tim Paine that infuriated a handful of Australian Cricket fans. He looked out of sorts at times and was a bit disappointing with the reviews as well.

Paine's leadership skills have raised a question or two following Australia's defeat at the hands of England in Leeds but what has been more disappointing is his batting. With a return of 77 across six innings, Paine has been one of the disappointing performers from the Australian camp.
