The highest partnership in Ashes was scored by Australian top order batsman Bill Ponsford and Sir Donald Bradman. They shared a 451-run partnership for the second wicket at The Oval in London in 1934.
The only other 400-run partnership in Ashes also involves Bradman. Bradman and Sydney Barnes scored 405 for the fifth wicket at Sydney in the 1946/47 series.
