#2 KL Rahul for Dinesh Karthik

It is quite surprising that a player of the level of KL Rahul has not played one single match in the Asia Cup so far. He is an extremely talented batsman who has proved himself on many occasions. After not being included in the match against Hong Kong, we all expected him to play against Pakistan but they decided to go with Dinesh Karthik instead.

Karthik played well, however, we could surely expect Rahul to make an appearance in the tournament sooner rather than later.

The team management might have decided to rest him for the match against Pakistan since it was a dead rubber and given the fact that Rahul just came back from England.
