Pakistan committed the crime of not playing out their full quota of overs. Their batting was thoroughly unconvincing, and the score of 162 that they put up on the board was far from ideal.

The openers set the tone with their failures; Fakhar Zaman was dismissed for a 9-ball duck, while Imam-ul-Haq scored 2 off 7 balls. Azam and Malik scored 47 and 43 runs respectively, but they failed to convert their starts into a big one.

The skipper Sarfraz had a forgettable outing as he scored just 6 runs. Asif Ali also struggled with the bat today as he scored 9 runs off 10 balls.

It was a poor performance from the Pakistani batsmen, and the way they collapsed after being 85 for 2 at one stage would not have gone down well with the management.
