#2 Bangladesh defeated India by 5 wickets; 2012
For the Bangladeshi fans, the Asia Cup clash against India at Dhaka in 2012 is something they will cherish forever. And why shouldn't they? The Boys in Green showed great character to beat a strong Indian side. Winning the toss, Mushfiqur Rahim sent India to bat first.
Gautam Gambhir was dismissed early, but with Virat Kohli on his side, Sachin Tendulkar completed a commendable century. Suresh Raina and MS Dhoni ended the innings with some big blows as India scored 289 runs, something which at that point of time looked beyond Bangladesh's reach.
Praveen Kumar dismissed Nazimuddin in the fifth over to give India the advantage. Fifty-plus scores from Tamim Iqbal, Jahurul Islam and Nasir Hossain kept Bangladesh in the game, but the job was still far from over. Bangladesh now needed to accelerate and Shakib Al Hasan and Mushfiqur Rahim went all guns blazing.
Shakib scored 49 runs in just 31 deliveries, while the last nail in the coffin was put by Rahim who scored an unbeaten 46 in just 25 deliveries at an outrageous strike rate of 184. Irfan Pathan and Ashok Dinda leaked runs and failed to pick up any wicket, as Bangladesh celebrated the heroics in their capital city.
