Asia Cup Points Table 2023

Asia Cup Points Table 2023

The 16th Asia Cup, aka the Super 11 Asia Cup 2023, will include one-day internationals (ODIs) and is being hosted by Sri Lanka. The event, which will take place from August 30 to September 17, 2023, will include six teams. Sri Lanka is the current champion. All Asia Cup 2023 games will be held in Sri Lanka.

The COVID-19 pandemic forced the event to be rescheduled from 2021 to 2023. The tournament schedule was revealed on July 19, 2023.

Asia Cup Points Table 2023

On August 30, 2023, in the Asia Cup 2023 match between Pakistan and Nepal, Pakistan prevailed. The Men in Green have risen to the top of Group A's table after this victory. Babar Azam and Iftikhar Ahmed each reached hundreds, while the bowlers bowled Nepal out for just 104 runs to secure the 238-run victory.

Sri Lanka will aim to retain its championship in the Asia Cup in 2023. Prior to their title defense, the current champions, however, were dealing with injuries.

Due to injuries, Dushmantha Chameera, Wanindu Hasaranga, Lahiru Madushanka, and Lahiru Kumara are all out. Due to COVID-19, Avishka Fernando will not be eligible for a certain amount of time.

How Does the Asia Cup 2023 Points Table Work?

The points table displays the total wins, losses, and points for each team, and at least one match is played by each team in Group A, Group B, and the Super-4 stages. The top two teams in the points standings at the conclusion of the Super 4 stage advance to the final match in 2023.

The ICC System, which rewards each side with two points for a victory in the group stages, serves as the foundation for the Asia Cup Points Table. If there is a tie during the group stage, a super-over will be used to determine the winner.
