When a team has to chase down a score of three-hundred-plus, getting a good start is very important and that is why the openers have a vital role to play.

On one hand, where Aaron Finch has been at the top of his game in the ongoing series, David Warner has not been able to live up to the expectations.

With scores of 2, 35 and 8, Warner has been let down for the hosts, as they have failed to emulate their Test success in the limited overs format.

Even though Finch has scored most runs in the series, he failed to get support from his opening partner, as Australia were pushed on the backfoot with Warner's early dismissal, every time they came out to bat in the series.
