#2 Best: Cheteshwar Pujara

521 runs in four Tests (seven innings) at an average of 74.42, Cheteshwar Pujara is undoubtedly the best batsman in the series and deservedly given the Player of the Series award. Though Pant and Kohli scored some runs in the series, it was Puara who scripted India's series win.
Pujara scored three hundreds in the series and two of them were match-winning knocks. The 30-year-old has faced a total of 1258 balls in the series, the most by an Indian cricketer in a Test series in Australia.
#1 Worst: KL Rahul

KL Rahul had a nightmare of a Test series in Australia. The 26-year-old is undoubtedly India's worst player in the series. Rahul has scored just 57 runs in three Tests at an average of 11.40 and never made an impact in the series.
He made four single-digit scores in five innings and was totally out of form. He was dropped after the Perth Test but brought back into the team after Rohit Sharma had to return to India for the birth of his child. Time to get back to basics for the Karnataka batsman.
