Akshar Rajeshbhai Patel is a professional Indian cricketer born on 20th January, 1994, in Anand, Gujarat. He is primarily a left-handed all-rounded, bowling slow left-arm orthodox and scores crucial boundaries for his team in the lower middle-order.

He made his IPL debut with Kings XI Punjab, taking 17 wickets at an economy rate of 6.22. Axar's Test debut came in 2021 when Jadeja was injured and made an immediate impact, taking five wickets in his debut match and 27 wickets in the series. In 2022, Axar’s all-round capabilities shone again, as he scored a 27-ball fifty to help India clinch an ODI series against the West Indies and played an important role in the Indian squad which won the 2024 ICC T20 World Cup.
