Bangalore: Day 4

Australia ended the day 202 for 7 – a lead of 185 runs. All poised for another fantastic finish to a test match.

In what is almost certainly Ponting’s last test match in India can he break his winning captaincy duck? If these tailenders don’t get out early doors tomorrow, he’s going to have to make a big decision on when to declare. The general feeling amongst people who know stuff is that Ponting has propensity to leave it too late and not give them enough time to get the necessary 10 wickets.

What we learnt today?

• Sachin out – All out.
• You can bowl like a twat and still get a massive scalp. (P George)
• The BCCI are fekwits for refusing to implement the UDRS – if you are going to have Bowden officiating, you need the bloody thing.
• Michael Clarke is supposedly a great player of spin who uses his feet. Erm?
• The key to winning matches in Bangalore is good spinners. Australia ain’t got one of them it would seem.
