#3 Kieron Pollard takes two in two

Pollard was tasked with delivering the final over of the Renegades innings

In an era of bigger bats and shorter boundaries, the last few overs are usually assigned to the quick bowlers or mystery spinners. Though both Michael Neser and Westley Agar (shattered confidence notwithstanding) were available, veteran skipper Brad Hodge threw the ball to Kieron Pollard as the final over loomed.

The innocuous medium-pacer used all his experience as a T20 journeyman and gave away just seven runs off it whilst striking in consecutive deliveries as well. Callum Ferguson could not connect properly to his wide slower one even as James Pattinson failed to clear the boundary despite getting plenty of bat on a length ball. Pollard ended the innings as the pick of the bowlers.
