Interim Board of Control for Cricket in India president Jagmohan Dalmiya has given the nod to India’s tour of South Africa later this year, according to NDTV. With the West Indies expected to tour India in November, a South African tour looked highly unlikely. However, the news was confirmed recently.

“The tour is on,” Dalmiya told NDTV.

India were expected to tour South Africa for two T20s, seven ODIs and three Test matches starting November 21, 2013. However, the matter was put on hold at the BCCI’s working committee meeting in Kolkata on Sunday.

With the West Indies already confirming that they are touring India for two Tests and three ODIs, the tour of the Rainbow Nation may be cut short due to time constraints.
