Yuzvendra Chahal has become a key figure of the Indian side, and was pivotal in India's success in the ODI series against South Africa, picking up 16 wickets from just six matches. Chahal was the leading wicket-taker in T20Is in 2017, picking up 23 wickets. Chahal is one of the only two bowlers in T20I history to have taken a 6 wicket-haul.

Chahal has been instrumental for the Royal Challengers of Bangalore, picking up wickets at crucial stages of the game, and that is probably why they didn't wish to let him go.
