To begin with it starts against India when in 2001 he floored the Indian batsmen-who have been traditionally known to be good players of the spin with his bowling. And in turn made them fear his action for almost the next decade.

Even during his final years he had a bagful of tricks and that showed in 2006 when he floored the England batting line-up at Trent Bridge during the 2^ndinnings.
