In spite of under-performing against the Australians, Reeza Hendricks has hit the ground running for the Jozi Stars this MSL. He became the first batsman to score a hundred in MSL history when he scored an unbeaten 104 against Durban Heat in Johannesburg. To back that up, he scored another 100 in the very next match against the Nelson Mandela Bay Giants. Hendricks has scored a league-high 267 runs in just four matches with his nearest competitor, Malan playing six.

Mature shots at the start of the innings combined with destructive batting towards the end have been the hallmark of both hundreds Reeza has scored in the league so far. With the 2019 edition of the Indian Premier League slated to be held in South Africa due to the upcoming elections, Reeza Hendricks has thrown his name into the hat with his superlative performances in the MSL so far.
