#6. Ankit Rajpoot (Kings XI Punjab)

Ankit Rajpoot is another good pace bowler from Uttar Pradesh. He is part of the MRF Pace Foundation and Glenn McGrath talks about him quite openly. He too can bowl quick and crosses the 140 KMPH mark regularly. He was good in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy last year as he picked up six wickets in four games.
He is having a great time in the Ranji Trophy as well as he has picked up 37 wickets in just six games. The 27-year-old quick was brilliant in the last IPL season. He took 11 wickets in 8 games which included a five-wicket haul. His figures of 5/14 against SRH helped KXIP restrict the opposition to just 132. Rajpoot uses his height to good effect.
He extracts bounce and hits high on the bat which is quite uncomfortable with some of the Indian batsman. KXIP would be hoping that he goes from strength to strength and performs well in the upcoming season.
