He was the highest scorer for Windies in the ODI series against Bangladesh. He is the third highest scorer of the tournament.

Powell's ability as an all-rounder can be deadly for the opposition. He is an integral part of Windies in the limited overs format. His highest score was 84 against Patriots on 2 September 2018 at Basseterre, which went in-vain as Patriots won the match by the DLS method.

He was the second highest scorer for the Knight Riders in the tournament.

He is the second all-rounder in the T20 history to take a hat-trick and score a century in the same match. He achieved that feat against the Knight Riders on 10 August 2018 at Port of Spain.
