Chandila's bail postponed to 17th June

It seems that Chandila’s connections have proved to be the undoing of his career. Delhi police had earlier claimed that Chandila is directly linked with bookie Sunil Bhatia, who in turn is linked with Dawood’s crime syndicate.

The police said, “It is reiterated that Ajit Chandila has emerged as the key conspirator in the entire chain acting on behalf of the syndicate… A huge amount of money has also been recovered at his instance, which was received from various fixers,”

The information was given by the police to the court on Friday as a result of which Chandila’s bail has been adjourned to 17^th June.

The police’s reply comes as an obvious consequence of the bail application filed by the player and four others (whose bail has also been postponed to 17^th June alongwith Chandila) – Deepak Kumar, Sunil Bhatia. Ashwani Aggarwal and Baburao Yadav.
