Chelsea Fans - You need to read this!

For those of you who are regular readers of my blog and MY blog posts in particular, you will be well aware of my feeling towards Rafa Benitez being our manager. For those of you who are visiting my website for the first time, I will elaborate.

I have been critical of Benitez in recent weeks about his team talks at half time, his tactical substitutions, I have called for him to be sacked and have promoted and signed an online petition to ensure that he is not given a contract beyond this season at Chelsea.

I didn’t agree with the clubs decision to sack Roberto Di Matteo and have pointed the finger at Michael Emenalo, our Technical Director, for his involvement in all this as far as the hiring and firing of managers is concerned and as an advisor to Roman Abramovich.

The thing is, nothing is going to happen between now and the end of the season unless our situation gets even worse and we slip outside the top four, so it’s time to move on.

Roman Abramovich and the Board will be well aware of the fans feeling. Roman isn’t stupid. However, there is still a job to do this season and it’s time to get behind the players and the team putting our feelings towards the manager to one side.

I never wanted Rafa Benitez to manage my team, despite everything he is still sitting at that desk and is still employed by Chelsea. We have done all we can but it’s time to start backing the team and the players with the same passion and feeling as we do towards Benitez.

Right now (and I know I am partly to blame for my posts on here) we are a laughing stock and as a club we are down and being kicked from all angles. There is only one thing left to do as a club and together with the supporters and that’s to pick ourselves up, pull together, get behind the team, the players and to become that 12th man again. We need to inspire the players once again and if we do the players will respond.

The title is long gone this season but we need to ensure we finish inside the top four this season to get back into the Champions League and to rebuild our reputation.

So let’s pull together and support the players. Let’s show the same passion and feeling towards them as we have with Benitez.
