The Jamaica Tallawahs beat the Trinbago Knight Riders by 19 runs to book a spot in the CPL 2016 Final against the Guyana Amazon Warriors. The Tallawahs registered a total of 195 for the loss of 7 wickets in their 20 overs with Andre Russell scoring a powerful century in 44 deliveries and also picking up a couple of wickets while bowling against the Knight Riders.

The game was reduced to 12 overs and with a revised target of 130, all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan picked up 3 wickets as the Knight Riders were restricted to 110 in 12 overs.

The Guyana Amazon Warriors had managed to beat the Tallawahs in the Qualifier 1 by 4 wickets. After being put into bat by the Warriors, the Tallawahs could only manage a total of 146 in their 20 overs as skipper Chris Gayle top-scored with 33 runs in 36 deliveries.
