Aditya Verma writes letter to Narendra Modi; urges him to interfere in functioning of BCCI

Aditya Verma

Aditya Verma, the secretary of the non functioning Cricket Association of Bihar (CAB), on Monday, wrote a letter to the newly nominated Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, requesting him to take action against the beleaguered N.Srinivasan.

Verma, who is fighting against the BCCI for the full-member status of Bihar, has requested Modi to set up a stopgap committee to run cricket in his state, after Jharkhand “fraudulently snatched recognition from Bihar”.

Verma urged the BJP Prime Minister designate, who promised to eliminate corruption in his manifesto, to intercede and take up the initiative of making the BCCI a corruption-free organization.

“If you will not care or interfere in the functioning of BCCI, nobody can save the institution. Mr Srinivasan and some his loyal associations (not only) hijacked the BCCI (but) they are also violating the Hon’ble (Supreme) Court’s orders through his illegal function,” Verma said.
