In of the top stories of the day, the two-time IPL winners, Kolkata Knight Riders released their hot-buy of the last season, Mitchell Starc, ahead of the next IPL edition.

The news was confirmed by the pacer of how he was released of his contract by the franchise. Starc revealed that he received a text message two days back by the KKR owners, stating a terminate his stay with the Kolkata-based franchise.
Starc who was bought by Knight Riders for a whopping INR 9.4 crores in the last season, unfortunately, didn't feature in any of the games after being ruled due to his leg injury.
The Australian pacer though didn't clarify upon his chances to participate in the lucrative league as he feels the time off in winter will help him to prepare for the World Cup and stay fit for the Ashes next summer.
