South African captain Faf du Plessis and Pakistani captain Sarfraz Ahmed created an unwanted record in the first Test held at Centurion.

Both the batsmen bagged a pair in the Test. They failed to get off the mark in both the innings and were dismissed for a duck. This was the first ever instance in the history of the sport that the two opposing captains bagged a pair.

South Africa defeated Pakistan by 6 wickets, chasing down the 149 run target with ease.
