Veteran Bangladesh pacer Mashrafe Mortaza has turned to politics and has collected a nomination form to contest from his home district in the country's upcoming general elections.

One of Bangladesh's most successful cricketers ever, the ODI captain will contest for the Awami League, and was seen seeking blessings from PM Sheikh Hasina.
The 35-year-old recently led Bangladesh to the finals of the 2018 Asia Cup, and has played 199 ODIs till date.
He will contest the elections from the Narail 2 district in the 11th general elections.
