Latest Kiwi pace sensation Kyle Jamieson entered into the record books for equalling the record of most sixes on Test debut in his 45-ball 44, hitting four sixes. Australia's Michael Clarke hit four sixes against India in Mumbai in 2004 on Test debut.
Jamieson and Colin de Grandhomme added 71 for the eighth wicket to propel New Zealand's score to 348 runs in the first Innings, helping the hosts gather an important lead of 183 runs on the third day of the first Test at the Basin Reserve in Wellington.
