#4 Carey excited to work with Ponting while playing for Delhi Capitals

Australian wicket-keeper batsman Alex Carey has expressed his eagerness to work under former Australian captain and head coach of IPL franchise Delhi Capitals, Ricky Ponting. Speaking ahead of IPL 2020, Carey sounded excited about the possibility of the exchange of cricketing knowledge with the Aussie legend.

Carey also spoke highly of DC's batting line-up which includes youngsters like Rishabh Pant and Prithvi Shaw. He stated that he was comfortable batting at number six or seven and playing his part for the franchise.

"I can't wait, even if I'm not playing, to just sit alongside him (Ponting) and chat cricket with him. I'll probably hang out of his pocket for the few months that I'm there."

"Delhi are really strong at the top with the openers and Rishabh Pant at number four so if there's an opportunity, it'd be at five or six. Which is great for me, if I can keep improving my game in the subcontinent."
