Indian women's team captain Harmanpreet Kaur has stated that teenager Shafali Verma has had a tremendously positive effect on the entire team through her stupendous performances in the ongoing WC. She also stated that her off-the-field behaviour was equally fun and sprightly which helps the team to relax and stay stress-free.

She stated that no matter what, she continues to take her stint with the Indian team seriously and knows what's best for her at such a young age.
