#4 Sandeep Patil wants Wriddhiman Saha in for Rishabh Pant

India ignored Wriddhiman Saha as a wicketkeeper for the two-match Test series against New Zealand

Former India player Sandeep Patil has slammed the Indian team management for selecting Rishabh Pant ahead of Wriddhiman Saha for the two-Test series against New Zealand. He stated that India missed a trick when they chose Pant ahead of Saha after going down 1-0 in Wellington.

He even went on to say that Saha's career was at stake as he is nearing the fag-end of his cricketing stint with the Indian team but remains the best keeper in the country.

“You are promoting Rishabh Pant, but playing with the career of Wriddhiman Saha.”

“Saha will be always be my first choice as wicket-keeper simply because you need experience and he is more experienced. Saha has also always rescued the team so why are you taking away his batting confidence? I know what Saha is capable of; I was in the West Indies when he scored that hundred.”
