#5 Marcus Stoinis breaks huge BBL record

Marcus Stoinis has been in imperious touch all through the current iteration of the BBL

Australian all-rounder Marcus Stoinis broke the record of the highest tally of runs in a single BBL season during his knock of 83 runs against Sydney Thunder in the all-important challenger to help his this team reach the finals.

Stoinis has scored 695 runs in 16 innings, eclipsing D’Arcy Short's 637-run 2018 BBL season. Stoinis' runs have come at a strike-rate of 137.74. With the final yet to be played, Stoinis will still have an opportunity to add to his tally, giving a reminder to CA selectors of the form he is in.
