Prithvi Shaw returns to training
India's batting prodigy Prithvi Shaw, who missed the entire Australia tour due to an ankle injury, is all set to make his return.
Quoted by the Indian Express, Shaw said: “I felt sad as it was a good opportunity for me to play the quality Australian bowling line-up. I was a bit upset. But some things aren’t in your hands. Now I’m looking forward to the Mushtaq Ali tournament to find my touch and gain some confidence back”.
Shaw rolled over his ankle during India's practice game against Cricket Australia XI at the SCG days before the first Test. He trained and recovered at the NCA in Bengaluru, but did not opt for Surgery.
India recall KL Rahul for ODIs, T20Is
Indian batsman KL Rahul, who was suspended following the talk show controversy involving him and Hardik Pandya, was recalled for India's limited-overs squads for the Australia series. Leg-spinner Mayank Markande earned his maiden India call up, whereas Dinesh Karthik was dropped from the ODI setup.

Steyn goes past Kapil Dev
South Africa speedster Dale Steyn went past Kapil Dev's Test tally of 434 wickets, equalling England pacer Stuart Broad's current tally of 437 wickets on his way to a four-wicket haul against Sri Lanka.
Steyn is now joint seventh on the list, behind West Indies legend Courtney Walsh, who was the previous record-holder for most wickets by a pacer in Test cricket, before Glenn McGrath and James Anderson overtook him.
The leader of the list is Muralitharan, who has 800 Test scalps from 133 matches, while the others ahead of Steyn are Shane Warne, Anil Kumble, Jimmy Anderson, Glenn McGrath and Walsh.
