#4 Jofra Archer ruled out of SA T20I series

Jofra Archer suffered soreness in his right elbow during the Test series versus South Africa.

The Injury-prone England squad have been handed another blow as pacer Jofra Archer has been ruled out of the three-match T20I series against South Africa scheduled for next month. Lancashire's Saqib Mahmood was announced as Archer's replacement. Mahmood was also included in England's ODI squad and will continue to stay with the squad after the three-match ODI series beginning on February 4th.

Mahmood made his debut for England against New Zealand in 2019 and claimed three wickets in three T20Is. The upcoming three T20Is against South Africa will be played on February 12th, 14th and 16th in East London, Durban, and Centurion respectively.
