#3 Kaur reveals she revisits her 171-run knock for motivation
Indian captain Harmanpreet Kaur has revealed that she reminds herself of the fantastic innings of 171 against Australia in the semi-final of the 2017 Women's World Cup whenever she needs motivation. Thanks to that knock, India beat Australia to reach the 2017 WC final only to lose a thriller to England.
With the Women's T20 World Cup less than 10 days away, Kaur stated that tri-nation was a perfect dress rehearsal as India got to test their young squad against the likes of tournament favorites England and Australia in Australia itself. According to her, playing against better opposition always helps the team and individuals.
“That innings is very close to my heart, and it will keep motivating and inspiring me to do well in future. On tough days, I always recall that innings, and after watching it again, it makes me feel better.”
“When the opposition is good, you can definitely improve as a team and put yourself in different situations to learn how to handle pressure. In that sense we are using the Tri-series to brush up certain areas and try to be more calculative in all departments,”
