Cotar Ramaswami
At the age of 40, he was the second-oldest debutant for India when they took on England way back in 1936. He played in two Tests and made a mark for himself as he scored 170 runs in 4 innings at an average of 56.66 with one half-century to his name.
Although, before 20 years before he played cricket, he represented India in tennis in the Davis Cup as well. He played the Davis Cup along with Dr. A. H. Fyzee and A. A. Fayzee. India defeated Romania in the first round at Bristol but lost to Spain in Beckenham.
Hailing from Tamil Nadu, Ramaswami left his home in Chennai in 1985 only to never return. He was presumed dead but till date there is no confirmation of his demise.
