There was a time when Robin Uthappa was considered to the next big thing of Indian cricket. The talented right-hander caught the attention of selectors with his brilliant performances in domestic cricket. The Karnataka batsman was selected in the World Cup squad on the back of some good knocks in the ODI series vs Windies.

The 2007 World Cup was a disastrous campaign for the men in blue as they were eliminated in the first round itself. Robin Uthappa got a chance to play in each of the three matches in the campaign but he had a horrible World Cup.

Indian fans don't even want to look back at the tournament as it gives them nightmares. So it is not a surprise if you have forgotten the performances in the World Cup. To be fair, Robin Uthappa didn't cover himself in any glory either so you can be excused if you don't remember him representing India in a World Cup.
