Pakistan has given some great bowlers like Wasim Akram, Waqar Younis, Imran Khan to World cricket. In the process, it's batting had taken a backseat. However, one batsman who is highly regarded in the cricket circles at the moment is Babar Azam. Babar averages 51.68, which is unusual for a Pakistani batman, in the 64 ODIs that he has played.

He has been the backbone of the team's batting in the last couple of years and a lot will rely on his young shoulders.

Shimron Hetmyer is currently one of the most promising talents in World cricket. The U-19 World Cup winning skipper has played some stunning innings against some quality bowling attacks. The 22-year-old has shown big appetite for runs and has already struck 4 centuries in 24 matches. Hetmyer will surely be a player to watch out for in the World Cup.
