4. South Africa- Aiden Markram

Retirement of AB de Villiers and consistent bad form of Hashim Amla has left South Africa's batting struggling. If South Africa has to do well at the World Cup, Aiden Markram will have to form a batting trio with Quinton de Kock & Faf du Plessis. Markram, the flamboyant batsman, holds the key of future for South African cricket. Though Markram, who made his ODI debut in 2017, does not boast prolific statistics in international cricket, his talent cannot be underestimated.
His List A numbers are fairly impressive where he has scored over 2500 runs at an average close to 50 and strike rate above 100. He can bowl some off-spin too, that makes him a useful cricketer who can shine at the biggest stage of cricket. A county stint just ahead of the World cup, where he is playing for Hampshire, might prove to be useful for Markram and South Africa.
