The Delhi Capitals (DC) will embark on a new era in the 18th season of the Indian Premier League under a new leadership group, with Axar Patel as captain and Hemang Badani serving as the head coach. The 2020 runners-up retained Axar Patel, Kuldeep Yadav, Tristan Stubbs, and Abishek Porel ahead of the mega auction. In the auction, the franchise bolstered its squad with stars such as Mitchell Starc, KL Rahul, Dushmantha Chameera, and Faf du Plessis, among others.
After an underwhelming 2024 season that saw them finish at the sixth spot, the Capitals will be desperate to right the wrongs when they take the field during IPL 18.
