Munaf played a key role in India winning the 2011 World Cup

Many hailed him as the Indian ‘Glenn McGrath’ for his bowling action, which was similar to the great Australian’s. But he could never quite reach the heights of his idol, to say the least.

Munaf started off brilliantly in 2006 and was almost a regular in the side till 2011. That year too, he was one of the keys to India winning the World Cup. But astonishingly, the fast-bowler went missing from the international scene after that.

He still plies his trade with Baroda in domestic cricket but otherwise he enjoys his time in his village.
