The Delhi and District Cricket Association (DDCA) has announced a new franchise league, named the Delhi Premier League (DPL). The inaugural edition of the Delhi Premier League will take place in Delhi from August 17 to September 8.
Six teams, namely, South Delhi Superstarz, Purani Dilli-6, Central Delhi Kings, North Delhi Strikers, West Delhi Lions, and East Delhi Riders will be competing in the men’s competition in the inaugural edition of the Delhi Premier League.
The women’s competition will be run parallel to the men’s competition. The names of the women’s teams are East Delhi Riders, South Delhi Superstarz, North Delhi Strikers, and Central Delhi Queens. A total of seven games will be played in the women’s competition of the Delhi Premier League 2024.

The league stage of the men’s Delhi Premier League 2024 will be played from August 17 to September 5. The two semi-finals will be played on September 6 and September 7, with the final scheduled to take place on September 8.
All games of the Delhi Premier League 2024 will be hosted by the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi. The opening game will see Purani Dilli-6 take on the South Delhi Superstarz. The first ball will be bowled at 7 PM IST.
