Delhi Premier League 2024: Full schedule, squads, match timings and live-streaming details

Delhi Premier League 2024 (DPL 2024) is a T20 tournament organized by the Delhi & District Cricket Association. The tournament is scheduled to start on Saturday, August 17 and will be concluded on Sunday, September 8. It will be the first edition of the tournament.

A total of six teams will participate in the tournament. These teams are: Central Delhi Kings, East Delhi Riders, South Delhi Superstarz, Purani Delhi 6, West Delhi Lions, and North Delhi Strikers.

The South Delhi Superstarz are owned by Real Force Resources Pvt Ltd, which acquired the franchise for INR 8.95 crore. Purani Dilli 6 are owned by SISL Infotech Pvt. Ltd. for INR 8 crore, while Central Delhi Kings are owned by Utech Developers Pvt. Ltd. for INR 8.25 crore.

The North Delhi Strikers are owned by Gupta Jee Tent Services Pvt. Ltd. for INR 8.15 crore, and the West Delhi Lions are owned by Brew Force Limited, also for INR 8 crore. Lastly, the East Delhi Riders are owned by Areion Finserve Pvt.[8] Ltd. for INR 8.3 crore. The top four bidders in the men's franchise auction also secured the corresponding women's teams, with ownership mirroring that of the men's franchises.

Each team will face the other five teams twice in the league phase. The top four teams will qualify for the semi-finals.

The DDCA has appointed Virender Sehwag as the brand ambassador of the tournament. The former Indian opener had played for the Delhi-based franchise in the past.

The winner will receive a prize of INR 1 crore. The tournament will consist of 40 matches in total, with 33 matches dedicated to the men's competition and seven matches for the women's competition. All the matches will be played at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi.

DPL 2024 has officially announced that Sports18 and JioCinema will respectively serve as the television and OTT broadcasters for the tournament.
